It is an air cleaner off a V8 powered, first generation Ford Bronco. I got lucky on finding it for super cheap. I have seen them sell in the neighborhood of $400. It does give plenty of hood clearance with the Rochester 2 Jet carburetor. I'm thinking I have around 1.5"-2" of clearance. I have also picked up a M38 hood that I have yet to install. It has the opening on the passenger side about where this air cleaner ends up. I'm thinking off installing it so it is drawing air from outside the engine compartment.

Done the v-6 mod many times. Also the 302 v-8, 350 Buick & Chev.   Plus the 420 w/ d300   blah blah blah.

 I like the 252 V-6 with a automatic 400r married up to a d300.   Or a your t-90 with a OD

best one I did though was a HP 302 with a Bronco C4 trans married up to a d300.  Great road speed and did the Rubicon, bronco canyon, and you name it with ease.   Put the combo in '46 2A.

Sort of my experience also-with 4bbl, headers, OD and 4.89's, 85 mph wasn't much of a problem.  But almost 5 decades back, I obviously had less concern for my welfare doing that with a Ross box and stock brakes.  I usually averaged about 18 mpg with the overdrive.  Best tank ever was 22 mpg.  18 mpg is also what I was getting in my 3B with a EFI equipped 381 sbc---------

Jury's still out on my next foray into torque engine design for the 3B----trans-make it is
