My 46 Column shift SN 26262 has the 265 lb counterweight on the front. But it also has a CJ-3A windshield. everything else seems to be correct. Anyone know if I should be running this weight on road, if its correct for my model, or if it was only on for agricultural purposes and I should sell it? trying to go all original with it and don't want to get rid of it if it should be on there. only going to see street duty from here on out. Pull it? or run it?
Thanks

if your only going to drive it on the street. I would remove it. I would keep it awhile you might in the future make it a agri-jeep with a lift and pto setup. My 2cents

The only reason to have the weight is to help balance or add traction for the use of farm or other equipment that might raise the front of the vehicle. Other then that all it will do is reduce the vehicles performance.

early column shift with a weight...I'd keep it on, it's a cool conversation piece. Probably ordered that way.
