A little fitting, drill some holes and a little welding and grinding and that should be it.

that is a really nice and practical mod. Do you know whether this approach would interfere with a Harrison heater that was already in place?

This photo should illustrate the proximity to a heater (although this one has the defroster motor)
Not trying to hijack Lee's project but I had this photo available... (should be noted, mine may be tucked up a little farther under the dash than most but not sure of that) More suitable for 'gloves' now. Edited by rocnroll - 15 Oct. 2017 at 5:06pm |

You can call that one a glove drying compartment, I have a small square heater that came in one of mine, I think it may fit. Just finish welding and some grinding and that's it.

That roll cage/defroster has got to be one of the coolest things I've seen, how does it work? |

Works great for a conversation piece.
I have no doors, it has no point other than I wanted to do it. |

Finished welding and grinding today, a little filler and some sanding then ready to prime.

I should have checked the dashboard for flatness before I did this, it's not.

I'd hate to put the guys that make body filler out of work (a little layoff maybe).
