Can any of you ID an engine for me?
I just brought home my first CJ2A. Engine is a transplant. The ID pad has two numbers.
Eng "10227CRC"
"1AR454892"
Intake "14010257"
Firing order "165432"
Electronic Ignition, forward strg box,
I am not sure where to look for the vehicle ID number. I see no tag on the firewall, dash, or frame horn by the front bumper. It has a CJ2A w/shld but the fenders and hood have four catches.
Thanks for any help.

Doing some research. Distributor in rear so I think 1980 Chevrolet Camaro 229 odd-fire 2bbl. Any one know of a good P/S add-on and a nice steering column? I will add some pics as soon as the sun reappears in Kansas.

Look on the back ledge of the engine. On the drivers side, the ledge that forms the mating surface for the transmission should have a good indicator there.
I can't find anything on the numbers you provided, are you 100% on your read?
