Had another pic showing how the jeep's coming along but having trouble posting pic's. As I was taking pic's I realized Same jeep, same space in same barn, doing the same work on it(body off) as in 1967, when my father offered "you fix the jeep up you can drive it to school I'll help build a cab for it." We both where thinking about next yr, when I could take drivers training. I could relate to what Stan G.P. said about a drivers license meaning "freedom" big step to becoming an adult! I hope this build or redo or whatever it's called, turns out as good as Fifty years ago when the great late 48 faithfully transported 6 teens(2guys 4gals lucky me ) to school everyday for 2yrs. The pic is from 1970, green with yellow wheels, purred like a kitten in a creamery! I now have the advantages of electric hoist 3 kinds welding equip, drill presses, jacks, not to mention 50 more yrs metal working experience. I just hope I get as at least as good results as 50 yrs ago! thanks Joe Wadoyado

Great story! My first "car" was a '42 GPW. Would cruise White Castle on the weekends. All the other guys had their hot rods. But what did the girls want to ride in??? Yep, lucky me!
