These pictures were taken (by my brother) in a tank museum in France. The Jeep is labelled as a Willys, but beyond that I don't know if there were any labels.
It doesn't have a Willys stamp on the hood. It's not clear in the pictures, but my brother has pictures of another "WW2" jeep in a museum (I think in Canada) that does have that stamp, so it's something he noted. I'm curious what features you look at in pictures like this to identify it's a real MB (or GPW), or some Jeep salad presented as a WW2 jeep. I already noted the lack (I think) of a fuel filler cap, which implies MB/GPW as opposed to something later. Thanks, -Paul |

The military stopped the practice of stamping Willys on the outside of the MB's very early on.
