I keep trying to pick out landmarks in the backgrounds of your photos to see if I can identify where you took the picture . I went through Astoria on Sunday for Father's Day; it was beautiful on the way back.

Came home from work today and I received the rebuild kits.
Only having about 3 hours to install, I started with bell crank repair kit. Pain in the butt! I did get it finished, sorta.. The bell crank itself is not good. I have pictures on my phone I need to edit but I will be searching for a new or good used one. The steering box is the next item I must address. Have a video I need to edit but let me say it is in need of a rebuild. To me it does not look good. |

This is the old one still in. I used heat but I could not get it removed. I ended up loosening the nuts holding the radiator and moved it back, after I removed the can blade. Then I was able to use a long extension and socket to push the pivot pin down and out. A big hammer assisted.

Here is the arm removed. Looks ugly in there. Who knows how old those bearings are.

So it is all back together now. It is a lot better then before. Next time I do this it should go a lot faster.
I will probably hold off on rebuilding the drag link bar for now.
Still have a video to edit. |

Looks like someone removed the old bearing with a torch.

Torch and then it probably sat for years so water got in there... Isn't it wonderful finding the remains of a previous owners work? Oh well. After work went for a short drive around town. Ended up watching the sunset. |

Today was again a beautiful day. After dinner we went for a ride around town. Ended up at the Astoria column to watch the sunset.
