Hi folks , My name is Mike and I have been restoring a CJ2A for 3 years but finally near done . I bought this as a rolling chassis and an MD Juan replacement tub so I've went thru all the pain of getting the body to fit right. Im still looking for a better engine , mine has a crack above the distributor currently sealed with epoxy , but runs goods and isn't a problem at the moment . May add the top bows and summer top one day but otherwise I think my little blue mule is about done. Glad to find this site , love all the good info .

Welcome to the board Mike. Congrats on getting to the end of a very nice restoration. I've repaired many a cracked block  and heads with epoxy and never had a failure. When done right, it will last indefinitely. Enjoy ypur ride!

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife.

Don’t sweat the “pain of getting the MD Juan tub to fit”. In our part of the US you are way ahead in the frustration department dealing with MD Juan vs rust repair. Enjoy it !
One of the bad things about the MD Juan body was the fact that they didn’t put the top bow brackets on the Jeep. I found that out too late after paint and decided that a top wasn’t going to be an option.

A 'stock, original type' top.......a Bestop Tigertop with its aftermarket brackets will work.

(but sure would be a shame to ruin those lines). That's a nicer looker as is!

Dave's right, no shame in using a new body.....to each his own.

Welcome to the page, swampman!  Nice Jeep!  That blue is something I'm envious of.  What's with the wheels in the 2nd pic?

Nice job Swampman! What's the color (Normandy Blue??), and where did you source the paint?
Enjoy that sweet ride!

The wheels, frame and seat frames have been hot dipped galvanized by the previous owner that started the restoration . my local paint store couldn't cross the Normandy blue so I just picked something that looked close in the paint chip samples , I know it should be a little darker but I kinda like it. Being a repop tub I figured no use in sweating trying to make it too original , but to anyone less than an expert I've tried to keep that look.

Your jeep looks great, and I like that shade of blue.

Beautiful Jeep!!  I have to say, that is the first time I've seen a tire cover on a side mounted spare.  Kind of caught me off guard.  LOL
