This some 3/4" rigid foam that I used for insulation. I hope it will keep temperatures down in the jeep and if it quiets some noise, that's a bonus.

I am resurrecting this Koenig thread for its been helpful. I just aquired a standard full Koenig with doors and plan to use it on my '48 2a. It may be for the 3a originally, but I can make it work. Right? The clay-like stuff Mike Gardner refers to is butyl tape. It is used for joining sheet metals, like camper skins etc. It is very effective, long lasting and easy to use. The only place I wouldn't use it is the cab to tub, unless it would be permanent. Rubber gasket would be best at this joint. Butyl tape does not like to be disturbed once installed. Joshua
