    Posted: 12 Sep. 2008 at 4:44pm

A few people have asked me questions about the bow strap I got from New Life canvas so here is some data for everyone.

The strap is about 19-3/8" long from end to end

It looks better than this when it's dry.  (I've been driving around in the rain today with my Reedikini)

The strap is long enough to run behind the bows to protect the tub as Trader_Reed showed us.

I don't remember exactly how much I paid for it but it was somewhere between 17 to 20 bucks.

Mona has been busy but her new assistant is making these.

Jeff,
Thanks for posting this info. I could be wrong, but I do not think the ball tip is correct, all originals I have seen comes with the horseshoe tip, same as on the canvas top.
Is it the word "CHINA" I see on the buckle?

It is!

Edit:  I believe that the weave of the strap is smaller than the originals too from what I've seen in pictures.

Edit2:  One thing's for sure though, them bows ain't goin nowhere.

Here is a pic of the windshield strap that I got from Beachwood.  I tried to buy a bow strap from Beachwood but they sent me another windshield strap.
