I couldn't find anything in a search of the site to do with lubrication capacities, so I thought I would post this as a consolidated set of information. It comes from the Willys Mechanic's Manual, Technical Publications Section Service Department, Willys Overland Motors. It is undated, but Copyright 1948 (so presumably pre-dates this).

...and here in metric:

It is amusing that where the unit was "ozs" in the original, there is no metric equivalent given. Could it be that the author of the original table didn't know the conversion, and simply wrote "As required" instead? LOL

Assuming we are talking about fluid ounces here (which seems reasonable) I have inserted my own conversion to litres (1 fl. oz = 0.03 litres).

You can't get 3.5 pints in the transfer case and 3 pints in the transmission on a T-90 and D-18

But if you had that much on hand, you could fill them. 😁
Maybe the amount was rounded up to the next easiest quantity.

In the 58 service manual it says 3.5 pints for the 2A and 3A and 6.5 pints for the 3B 5 and 6 LOL

I just put hair under 7 pints in my T-90 and 1.25" D-18 with OD. I had the left side about 8" off the ground when I did it.
