Wow! Very cool!

Well tonight all the mock up and prep paid off. We lifted and bolted the tub down in less than 30 minutes. Now i have a boat load MORE work to do....

Couldn't be happier than I am tonight!

Geez, big guy... I'm convinced you only have one mode.  Awesome work ;)

(...and the green is nice, but those wheels!)

I love those aluminum wheels and remember seeing Jeeps running around on them in my younger years.  I haven't seen a set other than in pictures for years and years.  Around here, I figured that some meth heads had stolen them all and sold for 'em for scrap.

Great work on the Willys too!

Thanks guys!

Made some progress this weekend. Got all the shifters installed. Also did some work on the gauges and got the steering column home.

I"ll need to decide soon on how to wire it up. That's the last major hurdle.

So I became a bit obsessed with the PerLux lights I picked up last year. I really liked the vintage style. Granted, these aren't particularly old or valuable. But they had the look. I bought another set on EBay and combined the best bits to make one good set. I polished the housings and rewired them. I thought a cool "custom" touch would be to paint the louvers to match the body color. Gotta say, I like the results!

A, you know my comment to lay down the gun was sarcasm LOL.  Your original trepidation to pick it up juxtaposed with the fantastic (and ongoing, lol) results you're getting Thumbs Up

If you were a commercial, it would go
Green hood,
Green fenders,
Green grille,
Green windshield and tailgate,
Light louvers,
Mailbox,
Wife's skirt,
Neighbors dog....

Savin' ya from yourself, dude... savin' ya from yourself

I can't say that your choice of color would have been my first choice but the color on our first Jeep was purple (Moms vote). It went to a dark blue later but it looks like you did a fine job.

With what paint cost these days it's a shame to not use it all. (Yes even green)

A day without sarcasm is a day wasted, that and offending as many people as I can in a day is what I live for, my friends know enough to ignore me. Looks great, a friend of mine has a 46 column shift that color.
