Yes; as well as Stimsonite on the lens, I believe there's a number on the lens also.  I'll check and re-post later today.

What about the Water Pump?  Who made them and which ones are correct for which years?  I see some with different bosses and casting shapes.

This post is an oldie but a goodie.

It is so old that Brandon is now working at Jeep.
Sadly Sam is gone.
The comprehensive list of 600 plus suppliers in in Lloyd White's Volume One, and we now know Willys owned Wilson.

We also know the owner of Autolite was the largest Willys shareholder?

I have a correction or possibly just an addition. The Tail light was as far as I know never C-B unless very early days. Naco Standard was the manufacturer not so?

According to the Parts Catalog for Truck V-35/U the NACO tail light was made by Corcoran-Brown Lamp Co., 4900 Spring Grove Ave., Cincinnati 32, Ohio.

In 1934 Electric Auto-Lite purchased the Corcoran-Brown Lamp Company and it operated as a division of Auto-Lite.

Someone mentioned it already, but most manufacturers didn't and still don't make their own parts. Now more than ever.  There's a lot of specialization required to make all the different parts. Some companies might buy their suppliers so they own the entire production, or work with specific suppliers, but it's still subcontracted.

From my understanding, it wasn't until Chrysler bought the Jeep name that the vehicles actually had all the same parts across the board to begin with. I remember pulling a Chevy heater core out of my CJ7 and then a Ford out of my friends of the same model year, but that's just how AMC worked.

I just wish more of these independent companies making parts for the big companies were still in the US. I bet a lot of those cities listed in the chart are shells of their former selves with the work that was lost. On top of that, the places the raw materials were made. I grew up outside of Gary, Indiana. I'm not old enough to have seen when it was a great place, but I've heard the stories of how great it was and what happened once everyone started going offshore for cheap steel. I'd be willing to bet, with the amount of parts made in the midwest, the steel for the frame may well have come from Bethlehem Steel in Gary, Indiana.
