I may have missed it but i did not see anything mentioned about Pearl Harbor Day. I wanted all to remember "A Date Which Will Live in Infamy". Today is the 77th anniversary of the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor. We should never forget it or the folk's that lost their lives on that infamous day.

Perhaps the media decided it had become no longer newsworthy, they have done that before.

I guess you may be right, the media would rather mention something about Kim, Khloe or Kourtney Kardashian's fat arse's rather than an event that shaped our nation. The Greatest generation's contribution is certainly not forgotten at my house. I grew up with those folks and will always remember the parents, aunts and uncles that served back in the day as well as the service people that serve today!

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but as a Veteran, the son of a Veteran, and the grandson of a Veteran, just because we don't post everything on the internet, has nothing to do with our love of Country, or the ones that made the ultimate sacrifice.

Thanks Mark.  Our feelings and convictions do not need to be displayed on a public forum to be made valid.

I bowed my head, closed my eyes, and thanked all of the Pearl Harbor veterans that I know. I don't know whether they heard me, but I'd bet that they don't read the CJ2A Page where they are.  BW

We all have our ways of dealing with things. I know I have helped bury many. I do sort of believe in a Native American belief, as long as somebody remembers a person, they are still alive. I do have lots of friends I haven't seen in a while.

I talked to a couple of folks (on Dec 7th) and most of them don't have any recollection any more of it....when I was a kid there was a lot more of the folks that had to deal with it one on one that were still alive. Not so anymore.

I boycott Japanese vehicles as much as I can, having been layed off because of them back in the day due to a Japanese company underbidding the company I was employed by at the time (1990's).

I won't ever forget. My kids wont ever know how much it changed our world.

Thanks for bringing it up.

80 years ago today. It was a while ago and unfortunately seems that it is being forgotten. Even the VA no longer seems to recognize the day anymore.

Hats off.

The Gov. through the news media is trying to keep us scared and thinking of other things.

My flag is at 1/2 staff again today.
