GROUP 15-19 -- REFLECTOR
(up to Ser. # 67921)
Reflector, Refex, Assembly (black) .............Part No. 640008
Screw, rd. hd. 1/4"-28 x 1/2".......................Part No. 52834
Nut, hex., 1/4" -28.......................................Part No. 5914
Lockwasher, 1/4".........................................Part No. 52706
These I realize aren't the best samples in the world but it at leased shows you what to look for in your search...Oh, and the reflector should be RED.
One more note, I listed the nuts and bolts that are from the Parts list because I have a question....At least one of these were held on with period correct slotted sheetmetal screws, The other was 8-10 years ago and I can't recall what held it on....What was holding your on?

Here is what I think is an excellent example of the early rear reflector with a NOS Grotelite No. 100 lens that I recently came across and what I believe to be a correct reproduction of the Cocoran Brown bezel.
It's tough to make good photos of reflectors! And, full disclosure, the round head screws are 1/4"-20 x1/2" because that's all the neighborhood hardware store had, but when I take it off to paint the tub, I promise to make it right!

Here are the same three images resized. ( The resized images are hosted at imageshack.us - it was too big a hassle to reload them to the forum using the file manager!)

Bump to the top. Is there anyway to take one of these apart, say to replace the reflector lens itself? If so what do you need to do?
Thanks, |

Yes, there is. In fact, that's exactly what I did. I found a NOS lens and put it in an authentic reproduction bezel/housing.
Here's what the back looks like from Sean's site. It shows the joint between the outer housing and the lens cover where you stick something small to gently and incrementally pry the two pieces apart. Edited by samcj2a - 03 Mar. 2010 at 7:33pm |

Sam,
Thanks for the explanation, I have acquired a reflector with a pretty good Stimsonite 12 lens but it is not the right bezel for a 2A and want to rescue it while I look for a good original or repro bezel. Thanks |

Also, here is a photo of the later C. M. Hall reflector with the Stimsonite No. 12 lens.
