wish that was the case Sam, but no, FBill is correct, it is the Classic Ent piece....

i missed out on an original last fall on ebay, and the two are identical......

i moreso instilled this into the thread to have a visual reference for inquiring minds....

if i ever should land an original, i will gladly swap photos :)

No, were these used on 2As , seems like mine came off of a 3A. I have a couple of junk jeeps that had rear PTO, but never remember to see if they have the reinforcement or not.

hi roger....

i found it best to remove the rear PTO gearbox and drum pulley, and also the drawbar.....

then i wedged the piece in with a dead blow hammer at the bottom edge....then i used a pair of welding vise grips to hold the bottom, then dead blow hammered the top lip...

problem i had was the bottom edge, at the ends......i had a time clearing the frame rivet on each side.....i use a thin walled screwdriver wedged on the bottom of the reinforcement, and a phenol rod and hammer to drive the piece the rest of the way in, i did this on both sides...

once seated only 2 holes needed a tad of reaming....

the only other problem i had, was at the top where the piece dips down, the excess hanging out towards the front, it made contact with the PTO flange bolts, so i warmed the lip up with heat, and slowly bent the piece upwards enough to clear the bolts...

now all is fine :)

but remember, my tub is off, so i could do all of my work from aboveWink

hope this helps......

Mike, was this part of the PTO kit or an extra part to go with the PTO?

I thought my was bent above the PTO hole, but maybe that is by design for clearance. I looked at another frame in the junkyard that a PTO and it did not have this extra reinforcement.
