I got a couple parts off a 2a on its way to scrap. It’s was body number 106521. The number on the toe brace was 85195. It had early 46 motor with non ribbed head. The dash also had the hinge recess for the mb hinge. Hope these help fill in some blanks

I can also testify that cj2a #10003 is in Lancaster pa, it’s been modified slightly. It was a column shift , floating rear. I personally drove it on many occasions. It has been to Moab twice.
The same guy also had a scrap pile with a slat grille and a fender that was skirted to a roundish opening. He has passed on, but the Jeep is still in the same town. NOT For sale.

My 48 dash has the glove box dent. That body number and toe board number should be the same shouldn't it?

and CJ-2A number 10003 would have been the 2nd one made as serial numbers started at 10001 so it would have been a 45 wouldn't it?

The body tag would not match the toe board//"ACM" number.
