HOLY SMOKES I been sucking the new lugs into my Flanged Dana 44 and talk about work. My crappy impact gun is only good for about 100 ft lbs so out comes the Craftsman Breaker bar and a piece of 3/4" thick White Oak to wedge between the lugs to keep the axle for rotating.
Pretty sure they won't be falling out any time soon. Not sure if I have enough room on the Pass side to even do it. think I am going to have to move the chassis over some to have leverage room LOL |

Mark,
I ran across some NOS studs from a reputable dealer last summer that were off spec. I pushed one in with my 20 ton press and decided they are not for a early Dana 44. So if they are more trouble what you think they should be - the studs might be the issue.

I tried that too and then had to have them pressed in just like I had to have the pressed out.
Be careful not to stretch or break them off with that large cheater bar.
