Hi all. I have a 1948 CJ2A with the original go devil engine and wondered if I could run synthetic oil in this. I was thinking of using Mobil, say in a 10wt30 or similar. Anyone have advice for this? Many thanks.

As said many times before your Oil must have at the very least 1200 ppm of Zinc or you will damage the valve train. 2000+ppm is even better. MOST classic engine oils have 2000+ppm of zinc.
