I have recently finished a stock restoration on my 1960 CJ5. F head motor completely overhauled. Sheet metal replaced as needed in body. Body was stripped, prepped, and painted. Operational period correct Braden LU 2 pto driven winch. Rebuilt carb, new brake system, rebuilt tranny, new glass, new wiring harness, restored original speedometer, new NDT tires, etc. Jeep starts, runs, and drives well. I also have the original hard top that will go along with the Jeep. Clean title in my name. I would like to trade for a stock CJ2A or CJ3A in similar condition. Not looking for a project. More pics available if interested. Thanks for looking - Tom

You have a fine looking Jeep. It shows love and quality work in the rebuild. Good luck with your search.

Hi, Might you be interested in early 1945 Column Shift CJ2a? It is the 646th built. SN 10646. Quite strait and rust free. Its had most of an amateur restoration. It lived in Alabama near Montgomery as a farmer's play toy most of its life. It has the original low SN MB left over engine. The engine SN is very close to the body sn. Has the original body sn plate, and tailgate has early sn, 10600. It is titled in my name as a 1945. The engine was rebuilt and runs well with good oil pressure. It has the original seat frames, shifts well, brakes fine. I would have to look at the receipts again, but I'm quite sure it has all new clutch parts, brake parts etc. New original cloth wiring harness not installed. I drove it home a few miles, no major issues. 4wd works and it has all the very early features, including the correct MB tub. I have many photos on a photo site. I have not had it for sale. It has been painted medium blue. New has tank too as of a few years ago. It still needs more, but it is not a total project and it is pretty far along as to what could be a nicely restored very early CJ2a. I'm in NW Florida. My cell is 850 624 6319 text or call is fine. I'm an older WW2 Dodge, Willys MB and CJ fan. Been playing with these vehicles about 40 years, and I have a few that I've had up and running for quite some time. I'm on the NW Florida panhandle. I have a second complete CJ2a that he would let go of too. It has a super solid old school after market body, and the engine turns over by hand. It too is a complete jeep.

Nice work on the early 5. I have 3 in my inventory and they are their own story. Good luck with your search.

I really do appreciate the kind words. Forgot in original post to tell all that I put in electronic ignition in it too. It seems to be a nice addition.

That thing is beautiful!! The crack in my behind ran the other way from setting on the rear fender's raised ribs so much. We were always doing something in that Jeep. Are you short as in not very tall? I'm only 5'10'' and hardly fit in my cj2a.
