Hello CJ2A member's
This summer I made a fantastic and beautifull trip with my CJ2A in Alp between Italy and France on old military track name "Via del Sale".
We left from Saluzzo and we arrived in Imperia in Liguria it's around 160/180 km.
We cross French border at more than 2200 meters.
This track cross around 1500 and 2200 meters.
Fantastic panorama! I feel I drive my CJ2A in cloud!
The CJ2A run perfectly but after one day drive I was completely destoy!

Thanks
Christopher

Hello Buddies
Yes I can confirm you the Alp mountain is one of the beautiful region I have seen in my life!
Make off road trip with the CJ2A in this track "Via del sale" is an incredible experience. Easy because you can do it with an Fiat Panda in two wheel drive but incredible panorama up to 2200 meter.
I was journalist for off road magazine for 15 years and I was very lucky to visit a lot of country in the world with four wheel drive vehicle. For your information, I have made three time the Rubicon Trail in Jeep of course!

You stated it is a former "military track". Does that mean it was a vehicle road or a railroad line ? The tunnel sure looks like a railroad tunnel to me. Tres jolie terrain. Votre jeep regarde en tres bonne etat.

Hello Sir
I confirm you this Tunnel was made for the military for a road to allow the Italian military to access with artillery canon and munition to the top of this mountain.
