I don't remember how my buddy did it but he used those mini Christmas tree lights on his Toyoto truck, said something about controlling them by the amount of bulbs, but its been to long ago to remember details.

Well I spent the majority of today assembling my fancy AN fitting and Braided Nylon hose fuel line (just the part from the tank to the Holley Fuel Pump) And about the time I got done taking a bunch of really nice photos to show off to you guys it dawned on me to double check the position of the cross member that goes under the Bed.

YEP Its right in the way. SO it has to come apart and I have to figure out a different route for the short fuel line that looped from the inline Fuel Filter to the In Port on the Pump.

That should only take most of tomorrow and then I can put it on hold while I wait for what ever expensive new fittings I end up ordering from Summit to get here.

I am now drinking some Jack Daniels

Put a new copper head gasket on.   Because the one that came with the rebuild was a cheap POS!   And cracked the first time i fired it up.    Now she's running and driving!   Can't wait to finish this thing.

The car tires weren't doing it, so test fit some old chains a buddy gave me. They fit with a little work, so went and cut some wood .

Tore off the front clip on my '48 2A in preparation for my newly rebuilt F head, yes F head. Engine is done and sitting on a stand in my garage. Have some un-cobbling to do on PO-inspired left motor mount so the hood will close (running a Holley 1920, which snuggles in nicely, but the left mount is really crude.) Having my original radiator rebuilt by an "old school" radiator craftsman before reinstalling. I see I have some tub cleanup, front frame cleanup, repaint, and some re-wiring to do before dropping on the rebuilt engine. But am determined to make it a runner again by spring. Having some fun as I uncover other stuff to rebuild. Winch install, a second  F-head to re-manufacture for a crate spare, and a '46 tranny and T-case/emergency brake unit to restore. Then on to a swing away spare on tge drawbar.
New to this jeep thing last Christmas, but learning a lot from this site. Just wish I had more time! Thanks everyone, and Happy Holidays!

Nice restoration ! I enjoyed the pics of your rebuild on your link. My frame and running gear is 17994 , nice to see what it once was.
