Jake's Crack did not scare me because I had seen Brian's earlier videos so I knew what was going to happen. The one that I started loosing my nerve on was the last crack:

.... 13:29 on the video. It was spooky off camber towards a drop off.

yeah, I got puckered watching the crack also.  At first, I thought the tree stopped you from flopping, but looking a little closer and in slow-mo it’s looks like you didn’t bump the tree at all.  Which was it, did the tree stop you, or not?

Hard to tell in the video how big the drop off is. Must have been pretty scary since you had all those guys on a strap. Brian coached you through really well. Nice driving.

BAM BAM never touched the tree.   If he had, you would have seen movement in the canvas.

Brian was confident that a strap was not necessary, but I insisted on it. Turns out the strap never got taut so I guess Brian was right.

Yup. Brian and Fuzz coached us very well all weekend. . BAM BAM gets the glamour shot and I get credit but behind the scenes, there’s usually guys like Brian, Fuzz, Bob W. , nivrat, or baja4 lending their expertise. ..... so glad to know them
