This is a dumb question ... but I am at my wits end with this.

I purchased a gas tank and sending unit from Walck's and can NOT figure out what size bolts it takes. I have bought EVERY small bolt I could find at my local hardware store and none of them fit the nuts welded into the tank?!?! The selection at the hardware store is minimal, but I hate to drive someplace far away and buy every bolt they have. At this point I am going to have to drain/disconnect the tank and take it with me.
