The pilot bushing should push into the flywheel with at least some tension. Measure the hole to make sure it is not oversized from wear. The hole size in the flywheel should be 1.0625" if my memory serves me. The bushing may come a bit larger by .002" or so. The shaft is .625" so the I.D. of the bushing should be about .628" or so. I am doing this out of memory but you get the idea. If you have to, you can make these bushings out of a larger sized bronze bushing. The inner diameter should just barely be a slip fit and I always grease it up well with white grease.
: i have the flywheel out of my 2A so i am going to replace the bushing the old bushing drove out real easy but the new bushing pushes in by hand it will fall out if i lay the flywfeel flat is this normal or do i have a problem? thanks WILL
