Sometimes nothing but brute force works to back out a stubborn pinion nut. I made a simple but effective holding tool for the yoke which lets you use a breaker bar with socket and a four foot long pipe extension to loosen the nut. I had one that not even my impact gun with 150 psi would budge!
Send me an emai and I will send you a picture of the tool if your impact gun won't do the trick.
