I have had good luck with the three leg puller:
Loosen the axle nut, install the puller, whack the hammer arm with a BFH a few times and then take the hammer arm off and smack the end of the puller a few good ones. This applys a shock to the axle shaft in the direction you want the shaft to go.20 years ago I had an axle shaft I just could not get to come off, I worked on it intermittenly for several days. An old mechanic waltzed into my garage, took one look at the axle, grabbed an 8# sledge hammer and with one whack that puppy came loose!
That was my lesson for that day and I have succesfully used that procedure ever since.
I like the Never Sneeze idea. I will use that from here on out.
