My grandpa took me into the woods, taught me how to work the clutch and left me. I was so mad until I got it going. They couldn't get me out of it for weeks. I named my first son after my grandpa. I grew up on an island near Seattle. The jeep was used on the beach for sevaral years. It has surface rust. I want to be proud of the jeep and I want my son to learn to drive it in our woods. It is hard to look at it with so many years of wear. It is in really good shape, but I don't know that I want to drive it to the store looking this old. I doubt anything has been changed that didn't need it. I have restored several cars to show condition, but don't know where to start with this project. One post said to get it running and make it safe. That seems like good advise. I'd like to post a picture I took yesterday, but don't know how.
