The Old CJ2A Page Message Archive

Please see Questions and Answers for some topics that frequently appear on this board. As you can see, this board loads rather slowly. If you are posting something for sale, please remember to include your location since someone who might otherwise be interested might not be able to use a part or a vehicle that is too far away. Posting your location when you're selling something that needs to be hauled will save everyone's time (and reduce the number of posts on this already too-slow message board). Thanks.

: Hi
: I have got a CJ2A 46 with:
: -Serial Number plate: 24931
: -Body Number plate: 24931
: -Frame Number plate: Missing
: -Engine Number: It Was reprinted and I guess that It's not correct (CJ-252891).

: *Is It correct the same serial and body numbers?
: *By the serial number It seems to be a early 46, but
: It does not have tool indents or column shift.
: *The body plate style that I have, according with
: (http://www.walcks4wd.com/data-plates.html) page,
: correspond to a late CJ2A.

: There is another way to know what is my 46willys date?

: P.D. Please sorry my english.
: Walter

Where are you? If outside the US then you might have a harder time finding your answer. Your VIN# makes it a Early 46 and should have the column shift and side indents and the body and VIN should be the same. Check the main page and find the 3A history as this will tell where to look for more infomation on the Jeep. If you have one built for export their could have been some changes not listed. Problem unless you are the orignal or knew the orignal as to who changed what since new. Bill
