Please see Questions and Answers for some topics that frequently appear on this board. As you can see, this board loads rather slowly. If you are posting something for sale, please remember to include your location since someone who might otherwise be interested might not be able to use a part or a vehicle that is too far away. Posting your location when you're selling something that needs to be hauled will save everyone's time (and reduce the number of posts on this already too-slow message board). Thanks.

: Thanks for the info on the tranny...Please let me know.

: : : Thomas Armstrong
: : : 205 North Main Street
: : : Roswell, NM 88201
: : : (505) 317-4137 cell-24/7

: : I have one in the shed but it has had a top shifter installed, but side shift attachments are still on outside, havent looked inside the tranny, I think it is still inside the shed, will try and dig it out and see just what it is.
: : not sure what would be involved changing it back to the side shift tranny other than pulling the top shifter out along with shift forks.

You will need: All the internal side shift forks Parts. (only a few) The cover plate to replace the top loader. Yep just unbolt the top loader and toss it. Now the hard part. The intire transmission has to come apart. To put the side forks back the main shaft has to be removed and to do so requires the whole shabang to come out and apart. The side and top froks take the same space and can't be in at the same time. I've seen where some have broken the inner fork off so they did not have to plug the holes. Still the job is simple.
