Please see Questions and Answers for some topics that frequently appear on this board. As you can see, this board loads rather slowly. If you are posting something for sale, please remember to include your location since someone who might otherwise be interested might not be able to use a part or a vehicle that is too far away. Posting your location when you're selling something that needs to be hauled will save everyone's time (and reduce the number of posts on this already too-slow message board). Thanks.

: : Hey, is they're an obvious difference in fit and function between an original and repro windshield? I may be buying an original outer with a repro inner from a seller who believes that is what he has. The pictures show the outer not attached to the inner. I believe I read somewhere that the repro inner will not fit the original outer. Can anyone confirm? OB

: For a CJ2A the repo outer windshields do not fit accross the cowl!!! Their is a upward bow accross the bottom rail of the repo windshield that when the rubber is added their will be a 1/2 to 1 inch gap in the middle. The rubber also will too tight as it curves around on the sids. Before you by a repo outer be sure to check for fit with the rubber in place. The only know fix is to remove the lower sheet metal-bend the rail and re tack weld the metal. As far as the inner fitting -I have not tried- However its easy to check. Looks like they should. Check that the open adjusting arms mate and work if you intend to open the inner with windshield up. It is possible the windshield problem has been corrected in the last 2 years but I advise you to put it on a Jeep and see or get a iron clad ganentee of you money back if it don't fit. I have a complete repo windsheild (no Glass or rubber) with the raised Willys - $125.00 up pick up as only shipped by motor frieght. Bill

I was happy to see how well my windshield frame fit my body but they are both reproduction. Is the problem with the Reproduction frame fitting the original body?? I'm just learning these Jeep's
