i am trying to do the same. i got mine from a ex colts football player in balltimore. it was ouned by a lady that had a farm and uses it a a farm truck. that all i have been able to find out. i has 5 layers of paint. red, then black, then dark blue w/ some kind of bodyshop or car garage, than silver, than the orig harvest tan. the mva will not give me any info on my title due to the right to privicity act. i told them all of the past owners are dead. the jeep is 60 years old. it still got me no where. good luck if you find a way make sure you post your info and how you got it.
