Jerry Can Identification

Just got a jerry can at an antique store and I am wondering if anyone can tell me what it may have been used on, I need to get the right carrier for it. It is approx. 6 1/2" X 13 3/4" X 18 1/2" high. It has a 4" diameter opening on the top. It also has the following markings on it. Thanks John D
