Aquired a '49 CJ2A a few months back, although I suspect it's really a '48. Anyway, after looking at hundreds of pictures on the internet, this jeep seems to have a unique attachment that I never see on other photos: : a rain/water gutter attached to the hood hinges. It's obviously used to divert water from running down the firewall by diverting it to either side. The piece looks like it was properly made, (it doesn't look mickey moused) and looks like a factory attachement. Or else the guy who made it was a heck of a sheet metal worker. : Any ideas or directions to other photos?
