By the 3A at least the rein gutter is a separate part not attached to the hinge, but bolted in place by the hinge bolts.
It should be quite easy to make with some sheet metal shears and a drill.... Very simple really
Go to the 3B page and search "Gray Jeep"... there are some good under hood photos of the drain described above;; If you've never seen one.
Mine doesn't work worth a darn, but it is cute and a nice thing to have. Your mice will still have their swimming pools.
