: Are you lubricating everything extra well?

: The fastest way to ruin new bearings is to skimp on the lubricant when you put everything together!

: When you fire up a new engine, it takes a minute or two for the oil to get to all of the parts.

: Use something slicker tha motor oil (I like to use something like STP because it doesn't just run off of the new parts).

: Good Luck,

Carl, thanx for the reply. I typically (habitually) use a white grease engine assembly lube. I only use motor oil when dipping the pistons before install. All bearings get ample grease as did the seal. Going to the parts store to try another brand and see if that fits better.
Then prior to start-up will prime the engine with plugs out....at least with the more modern engines.
Thanx!
Ryp
