Matt, Go to the Mi. DMV website and hit on the history of the plate colors. I did that for my '46 and came up with the correct colors for that year. I can't remember the correct website, but just try "www.dmv/mi" and see what comes up. If that doe'snt work I'll get back to you. They go WAY back in the correct colors. I'll try to research what I used.
