Personally, I'm a big fan of "Ultra Blue" (Permatex product I believe)silicone. It works fantastic anywhere you want to seal. Use it in conjunction with your clean, dry gasket. Just don't use it on the obvious areas like the head gasket, exhaust/intake gaskets, etc. I also tried the "Ultra Black" on my gearbox/xfer case gaskets. Works awsome and you might like it better as it's black and won't stand out like the blue stuff.
