1947 CJ-2A. When I depress the clutch to shift gears, there is a light rattling sound at full depression. I visited with the mechanic taht rebuilt the engine and transmission suggesting it might be the throw-out bearing. He disagreed saying that he noted the noise and was unable to identify or eliminate it. It sounds very much like ball bearing rolling inside a turning cage--though not very loud. Any thoughts?

Joe.
