On my "46 2A, after replacing the front floor boards, I purchased new channel supports; they were pre-cut and welded, and instead of wood, had short sections of pipe welded insided the channel; bolts slide through them, but the pipe becomes a collar between the top of the channel and the floorboard, thereby keeping the channel from collapsing.
