Anything tips for towing a Willys on a U-Haul dolly (2 wheels on ground, 2 off) besides disconnecting the rear driveshaft? : 2. Is a front-bumper mounted tow bar a worthwhile investment? How does towing the Willys with this differ (from a driving, wear/tear, speed perspective) than with the dolly? : Any input would be helpful. Thanks Peter, if all of the mechanicals on the Willys are perfect, there is no problem with flat towing it. If you are in doubt about anything, put it on a trailer. I flat towed a 48 Willys from Memphis to Coumbus, Ohio at 70mph and had absolutely no problems, lucky, probably. I remove the rear driveshaft and put the transfer case in neutral and the hubs unlocked. Works for me, your choice. Dave.
