: : I recently purchased a 46 2a in nearly perfect original condition with an era correct metal hardtop. My questions are:
: : 1. the hardtop has a windshield frame made into it and is not removable. Does anyone reproduce 2a windshield frames that have the "Willys" stamped in them?

: : 2. It has a front mount "Koenig" PTO drive winch (not like the capstain winches I have seen) Is this an original option?

: : Thanks much!

: : Randy

: Randy, I too have looked all over for a Willys stamped windshield frame. I have been told that M.D.Juan in the Phillipines run them from time to time but it is not part of their normal production (copyright problems I assume) and to find them is rare and very expensive. Good originals are rare and expensive. Chrysler is hanging on to the name and seem to guard it closely, they could make a fortune if they would start stamping hoods, windshields, and tailgates. Don't know anything about winches. Dave.

Randy, I bought a re-pro body kit for my '46 2a last Spring from DL Bensinger that came shipped from the Phillipines and it came script with "willys" stamped on windshield, tailgate and hood so, yes they are available. The kit also included a 7 slot grille that I was told was also a "no-no". Web site is dlbensinger.com
