I just didi the front axle on my '48 CJ-2 for about $250 with mostly new stuff. I went with the GM caliper/ CJ disc setup and it all went together like it belonged there. Only drawback is the need for a newer set of rims to clear the calipers, as the stock willys rims won't. let me know if I can help out. Steve in Pittsburgh
