: I'm removing the tub on my 3A and have had to cut the steel fuel line from the tank to the pump because a PO had stripped all the fittings at the tank and midway through the line.

: When putting everything back together should I use steel or just go with a rubber line?

: I'm not going for a factory resto, but a functional one and have seen posts about using both methods.

: Any pros and cons for either are greatly appreciated...

: Thanks!

Tony, if rubber is just as good, why don't manufacturers use it on new cars, it's not safe to use for long runs in my opinion, there isn't much cost in a new steel fuel line. I wouldn't use copper, it is soft and more prone to breaks from vibration(you probably don't have any with your Willys). I would go with a steel line all the way, you can even buy brake lines long enough and use them, they are cheap. Just one more opinion, you decide. Dave 482a
